Thai Food Recipes – Glass (or “cellophane”) noodles are thin and as transparent as the name suggests. Healthier than wheat noodles, glass noodles are made from green beans, broad beans, and peas, which makes them gluten-free and a source of iron, calcium, and fiber. They are opaque (white) until soaked in water. Look for them at your local Asian store sold in dried bundles/packages (check ingredients to be sure they are “glass” noodles – look for bean or pea flour). In Thailand, food forms a central part of any social occasions—and vice versa. That is, food often becomes the social occasion in itself, or reason to celebrate. This is partly due to the friendly, social nature of Thai people, but also because of the way in which food is ordered and eaten in Thailand.
In the West, a “normal” restaurant meal consists of a starter followed by the main course and dessert, with each individual ordering only for him or herself. In Thailand, there is no such thing as a starter; neither is there any dish that belongs only to one person. As a general rule, Thai diners order the same number of dishes as people present; however, all dishes are shared and enjoyed together. For this reason, it is better to have many guests at the table rather than just one or two. In fact, many Thais believe that eating alone is bad luck.

This Thai food recipe version of wonton soup is so delicious, it’s addictive! The chicken dumplings or wontons are easily put together using wonton wrappers (wrapping instructions included). Thai Food Recipe – This dish is a spicy meat side dish normally eaten with sticky rice. It is chunky, making it ideal to eat with your fingers. In Thailand as with many cultures, there are many dishes you eat with your hands. Ensure you clean your hand thoroughly, take a chunk of sticky rice, and, using the sticky rice to cover your fingers, grab a chunk of the minced pork, then eat.

  • 400 gms Pork Mince
  • 20 gms Fresh Red Chill
  • 2 Tablespoons Flaked Dried Chilli
  • 5 Kaffir Citrus Leaves
  • 10 gms. Coriander Leaves
  • 10 gms. Spring Onion
  • 4 Tablespoons Fish Sauce
  • 1 Tablespoon Toasted Rice
  • 2 Tablespoon Lime Juice
  • 2 Tablespoons Water
  • 10 gms. Fresh Mint

Thai Food Recipe – The black fried century eggs make this quite a stunning looking plate, but the eggs are not the main taste, the spicy chicken is. Eat this as a side dish to Thai rice, served with Thai sweet basil leaves.

Gaeng Phed Ped Yang

Thai Food Recipe – A curry that is cooked by using pounded dried chilli and roasted duck eat with steamed rice or Thai rice noodle (Kha nom Jeen)

Ingredients

  • 1tbsp lemongrass, sliced thinly
  • 10 pea eggplant
  • 8-10 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 1-2 tsp salts
  • 2tsp galangals
  • 1-2 stems lemongrass
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 2-3 tbsp cooking oil
  • 1 kaffir lime leave
  • 5-6 dried chillies
  • 1 tsp kaffir lime rind, sliced well
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1 tbsp coriander root
  • 3-4 shallots
  • 5-6 sweet basil leaves
  • 2 cup coconut milks
  • 100 tsp shrimp paste
  • 100g roasted ducks
  • ½ – 1 tsp nutmegs
  • ½ coriander seed
  • 2 tomato (cut cherry tomato or small-sized tomato into a bite-size pieces)

  • 100g coconut cream
  • 300g coconut milk
  • 1-2 potatoes (diced potatoes)
  • 30g yellow curry paste
  • 15g palm sugar
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce

Thai green papaya salad is one of a kind of meat dish. Was not clear about where does it come from in thailand, but are likely to come from the Northeast of Thailand and Laos, often made from shredded papaya and pounding in a mortar with tomatoes, roasted peanuts and dried shrimp, add flavor with chili sauce. garlic and palm sugar, fish, pickles, pickled crab, spicy and salty, slightly sour taste. Serve with sticky rice and grilled chicken with fresh vegetables such as cabbage or beans. As a side.

  • 40 g cherry tomatoes, halved

  • 2 tbsp roasted peanuts
  • 1 tbsp dried shripm
  • 1 tbsp fish sauce
  • 20 g palm sugar
  • 1 1/2 tbsp lime juice

  • 100 grams – Squid
  • 100 grams – prawns
  • 15 grams – jelly mushroom, sliced and blanched
  • 30 grams – sliced cucumber
  • 40 grams – sliced white cabbage
  • 10 grams – sliced spring onion
  • 8 grams – chopped coriander leaf
  • 8 grams – celery stalks
  • 8 grams – minced red spur chilli
  • 10 grams garlic
  • 3 tablespoons lime juice
