When you are greeted by a warm smile and have your luggage safely transported to your room in aBangkok boutique hotel, what are you expecting your stay to be like? If you have stayed in a luxury hotel elsewhere in the world, you obviously expect top-quality service, the finest ingredients in your food and respect from staff at all times. You would also like a room with a view that doesn’t overlook busy streets and wish that the hotel had the staff to afford you more attention. This often doesn’t happen in Western hotels. Even the most luxurious hotels are understaffed with more rooms and guests than employees can reasonably handle. With a Bangkok boutique hotel, there are far fewer rooms which makes the whole experience more exclusive. Also, the staff will be able to give you the undivided attention you deserve.

Cheap and cheerful rooms with no frills and sadly, no thrills either. You get a room but are forced to pay fairly extortionate rates for breakfasts that are cooked hours before and reheated. In Bangkok, the boutique hotel is considered to be ‘budget’ because it’s affordable to tourists. Although a Bangkok boutique hotel is more expensive than a Travelodge room, they are worlds apart in more ways that one.
